The Learning Heist is a gamified, agent-themed short course I created using iSpring Suite for the iSpring Course Creation Contest. Designed to refresh instructional design knowledge in a fun, escape-room style format, the course challenged learners to complete interactive scenarios and quizzes in order to crack a secret code and escape a failing learning department.
⚒️ Tool: iSpring Suite
💻 Roles: eLearning Developer & Instructional Designer
Watch the full course unfold just as a learner would, from entering the failing learning department to cracking the final escape code!
These screenshots showcase key moments from The Learning Heist, highlighting the interactive scenarios, role-plays, and quizzes that engage learners as they navigate the failing learning department.
To meet the contest criteria, I made extensive use of iSpring Suite assets, including character images and quiz formats. Voiceovers, interactive prompts, and feedback mechanisms were integrated throughout to enhance immersion and encourage learners to apply their knowledge.
These images demonstrate how storytelling, interactivity, and instructional design principles were combined to create a playful yet educational learning experience.
Creating The Learning Heist pushed me to experiment with gamification, storytelling, and interactive design under competition conditions. While I didn’t win, the experience gave me valuable feedback on accessibility, navigation, and learning objectives that I can apply to future projects. Most importantly, it reminded me how much I enjoy designing engaging learning experiences that balance creativity with instructional purpose.
Participating in the iSpring Course Creation Contest gave me the chance to try iSpring Suite for the first time and create a complete, gamified learning experience. While I did not win, the expert feedback I received highlighted strengths and areas for improvement, providing valuable insights I can apply to future projects. I’ve included my participation certificate to mark this milestone in my professional development.
