I am passionate about creating digital learning experiences that are not only engaging, but genuinely make a difference. With a strong belief in the power of inclusive, accessible design, I'm driven by the opportunity to help others learn, grow, and thrive. I'm constantly exploring new tools, ideas, and approaches to ensure every learning experience I create is purposeful, impactful, and tailored to real people.
Outside of my work in digital learning, I'm a big fan of all things creative. I love spending time crafting with my Cricut, getting stuck into a new crochet project, or curling up with a good book, a hot cup of tea, and a few biscuits. Creative hobbies help me unwind, recharge, and keep my imagination flowing.
With a deep-rooted passion for learning and teaching, I hold both a BA (Hons) Education and an MA Education from the University of Plymouth. These degrees not only shaped my understanding of pedagogy, curriculum, and inclusive practice, but also sparked my growing interest in digital learning and instructional design.
My undergraduate dissertation investigated online learning during COVID-19, focusing on how it affected student continuation and non-continuation - and what improvements could support more inclusive digital delivery in future. At postgraduate level, I expanded this interest further by researching the accessibility of digital training in various workplaces, reflecting my commitment to equitable learning experiences in both academic and professional environments.
I have completed the Professional Diploma in Digital Learning with the Digital Learning Institute, specialising in Instructional Design. This programme developed my skills in creating engaging digital learning experiences across multimedia, video, microlearning, and podcasts, using tools such as Articulate Storyline.
As part of the course, I built a portfolio of work including a project on digital wellbeing, showcasing my ability to design interactive, learner-focused content with real-world application.
